Athos Intelligence Consultancy · UK

Websites that win work for small UK businesses.

Athos designs, builds and looks after fast, modern websites for small businesses, clubs and charities. One consultant, end to end. No account managers, no hand‑offs.

// honesty setting: 100% — if you don't need us, we'll say so

Services

Two things, done properly.

Websites built to earn their keep, and automation that takes the admin off you. Nothing sold that a spreadsheet could do instead.

Website design & development

Design, build and launch: mobile-first, quick to load, easy to update, and findable on Google. From a straightforward three-page site to full booking and payment systems.

AI & agentic systems

Chatbots, agents and automated workflows — invoice chasing, lead follow-up, booking admin. Built to stop at a human approval before anything goes out, and only where it genuinely saves you time. In the site builds themselves, AI stays a tool for finding bugs faster, never a substitute for building the thing properly.

Starter

£500 – £900

A proper presence, live and found.

  • Up to 3 pages — Home, About, Contact
  • Mobile-friendly design
  • Basic SEO setup
  • Contact form

Growth

£1,200 – £2,200

For taking enquiries seriously.

  • Up to 6 pages
  • Booking or enquiry forms
  • Image galleries
  • Basic analytics
  • Content structured for easy updates

Registered charities get 20% off. Give us your charity number when you enquire — we check it on the Charity Commission register, and the discount comes off the written quote. It applies to the build; care plans stay at the standard monthly rate.

Every project starts with a short discovery call. Pricing is a guide — every quote is confirmed in writing before work begins.

A higher Custom tier — online payments, booking systems, member areas, AI-powered features — is on pause while the portfolio builds out, and will return once there’s a track record to back the price. Need something in that territory now? Get in touch anyway.

Examples of what’s possible

Five styles, five example builds.

These are illustrative examples, not client work — fictional businesses built to show what each style looks like done properly. The real client project is the football association site further down.

Example website for Marlowe & Reed, a fictional plain & minimal business

Plain & minimal

Marlowe & Reed

Professional services — typography-led, generous whitespace.

Example website for The Slow Hour, a fictional blog & content business

Blog & content

The Slow Hour

Editorial brand — article grid, read times, print-style hierarchy.

Example website for Verity Bloom, a fictional photo-heavy business

Photo-heavy

Verity Bloom

Florist & studio — full-bleed imagery and a masonry gallery.

Example website for Nocturne Collective, a fictional interactive & 3d business

Interactive & 3D

Nocturne Collective

Events brand — depth, gradient light, motion-led layout.

Example booking website for Ashgrove Clinic, a fictional clinic

Booking & calendar

Ashgrove Clinic

Appointment booking — date picker, live slots, responsive down to mobile.

Example workflows we build

Automation that stops and asks.

The admin gets done up to the point where judgement is needed — then it waits for you. Nothing goes out to a client, a customer or the internet without a person saying yes first.

Approval gate— wherever this appears, it’s waiting on you.

Enquiry to booked call

Runs unattended — nothing leaves your hands but a diary invite.

  1. Enquiry arrives
  2. Qualified against your criteria
  3. Call booked in your calendar

Chasing an overdue invoice

The chaser is written for you. Sending it stays your call.

  1. Invoice goes overdue
  2. Reminder drafted in your tone
  3. You approve
  4. Sent

Turning an idea into a post

Drafting is the slow part. Publishing is the part you keep.

  1. Idea captured
  2. Post drafted
  3. You approve
  4. Published

Keeping the pipeline warm

Notes written automatically; the follow-up waits for you.

  1. New lead lands
  2. Pipeline note written
  3. Follow-up drafted when due
  4. You send

Answering a customer question

Context pulled together, reply ready — you press send.

  1. Question comes in
  2. Reply drafted with their history
  3. You approve
  4. Sent

Quoting a job from a photo

A rough starting figure, not a measured price — you set the real one.

  1. Customer sends a photo
  2. A rough estimate is drafted
  3. You check and adjust it
  4. Quote sent

Illustrative examples of the kind of thing we build — not client systems, and no client names.

How we work

A straight line from call to launch.

Five steps, each agreed in writing before the next begins. No surprises is the whole point.

  1. 01

    Discovery call

A short, free conversation about what you're trying to do. Straight answers — and if you don't need us, we'll say so.

  2. 02

    Proposal & deposit

A written proposal with scope, timeline and a fixed quote, confirmed before any work begins. Work starts on a 50% deposit.

  3. 03

    Build

Design and development with progress you can actually see — no big reveal at the end. Timelines hold as long as content arrives on time.

  4. 04

    Revisions

Two full rounds of revisions are included in the price. Anything beyond that is quoted and agreed in writing first, never billed as a surprise.

  5. 05

    Handover

The balance is due on completion, then the site and its code are yours outright. Build bugs are fixed free for 10 days; after that it's covered by your care plan, or quoted if you don't have one.

After launch

A website is a relationship, not a transaction.

Sites need hosting, security updates, and a person who answers when something breaks — ideally the person who built it. Two simple plans, whenever you're ready.

Essential

£25 – £40 /mo

The site stays up, safe and backed up.

  • Hosting on managed, secure infrastructure
  • SSL certificate maintained and renewed
  • Automated, versioned backups
  • Uptime monitoring with alerts
  • Security patches and dependency updates

Managed

£60 – £90 /mo

Everything in Essential, plus a pair of hands each month.

  • Everything in Essential
  • Up to 1 hour/month of content updates — text, images, prices
  • Priority support with 48-hour response

Rolling monthly — cancel with 30 days’ notice, and if you leave, we help move the site with you. Response within 24–48 hours on business days; genuine emergencies jump the queue.

Selected work

Recently designed and built.

Client projects and example builds, each labelled for what it is — content-led, fast, and built so the business can run it themselves.

Booking / calendarExample build
Barbershop, menu & booking — A dark, price-forward site built around the one thing walk-ins actually want: the menu, and a button to book it.

About

One consultant. The whole job.

Athos Intelligence Consultancy is a solo practice, based in Deeside — deliberately. The person who scopes your project is the person who designs it, builds it, and answers the phone when you call six months later. No hand-offs, no account managers, nothing lost in translation.

The background is hands-on web development paired with a genuine interest in agentic AI systems — the kind of thing most local web design freelancers aren’t spending their evenings on.

Named after the mountain. Modelled on the kri-kri — the Cretan ibex that treats cliff faces as footpaths. Sure-footed beats flashy, on rock and on the web.
